The Next Generation in Paintball: Self-Guided Sentry Shockers
Oh the power of technology. It’s always been fun dreaming of all the high-tech things you could do with paintball stuff. You know – night vision goggles in your Profilers, nuclear powered paintball guns, self-guided sentry Shockers…
Well it appears a group of inventors did just that. Well, the latter of the three anyways. It’s just a prototype still, but it looks like it already could make it to the field. It’s programmed into a computer which has some type of camera, and in the test a guy wears a yellow shirt around the lab, and the gun is able to track wherever that shirt goes completely on its own (it senses according to color). Amazing. It even operated smoothly when they ran actual paint through it.
Just watch it yourself. The clip runs about 4:30, but the cool stuff starts a minute or two into it. The first half is just the building process. Enjoy!
