Reflection: Today
All of the recent posts bring me to where I am today:

If you haven’t caught them, I encourage you to catch up and reminisce with me about your firsts…
1)Reflections: The Beginning
2)Reflections: A Gun and A Field
3)Reflections: A Transition
So, anyway, today I am…
Today I am a fearsome monster on the field, much like a predatory cat.

I’d mow faces and chew gum, but I’m all outta gum. Although I will give an eCookie to whoever gets that reference.
If not a muppet mower, then I am least a muppet trimmer. I can hang with the best people around here and not get killed every time. On my good days (which apparently can’t ever be tourney days) I’m even “good”. How about that? I got killed over and over again, until the scars started representing lessons learned. I had a lot to learn.

As for knowledge about paintball, I try. I’ve got a solid foundation of most things spanning the wide realm of the sport; the concepts, the equipment, and the events. Nothing can escape my keen eye, save for the lame stuff that no one really needed to know about anyway. I write two blogs on paintball, so it pays to keep up.
Haven’t seen both my blogs?

I think the most important part of paintball is concentrating on things larger than yourself. Sometimes that means making a commitment to be a part of a serious team, and actually doing drills and stuff that isn’t so fun so that your team can succeed at a tournament. Other times that means helping out other players, whether they be in need of some gun assistance or some serious advice on how to play. That means being a positive influence yourself, and not cheating. Possibly the best way of getting involved is making paintball a part of your outside life. I write blogs that I am paid to write, which just goes back into paintball half the time. I also do a lot of school projects that revolve around paintball, the most recent of which is organizing a paintball tournament for charity.
I’m not saying that you should just go out a find some huge paintball project to get wrapped up in, but being part of something larger than yourself can be incredibly rewarding.
