Planet Eclipse Ego7

What a gorgeous gun. The remilling is truly something that turns me onto the Ego series this time around. The Ego7 definitely got it right.

Ego7

Anyway, here are the specs and commentary!

NEW Ultra-Lightweight Monoform Body- Yes, this is a LIGHT gun, weighing in at an impressive 2.1 pounds, 8 ounces less than the Ego6. (Yes, those figures are with battery, barrel, ASA, etc. Full set up in other words.) Also, as mentioned before, it is absolutely gorgeous.

Deftek Offset Feed Tube- Cool, looks very good, functions as good as anything I’ve seen.

NEW Flusher-Fitting Eye Covers- Look great.

NEW Integrated Rammer Housing
NEW Integrated FRM- Both making for a slightly smaller and much smoother look, as well as getting rid of unnecessary material.

NEW Lightweight Rammer- Lighter gun, also less reciprocating mass, less pressure needed to drive ram.

NEW Larger Valve Chamber
NEW High-Flo Valve
NEW Lower Operating Pressure - Below 250 psi!
NEW Swivel Stainless Banjo QEV - All contribute to the low operating pressure meaning that the bolt will be able to handle much more fragile paints, will have a slightly quieter shot, and have less kick.

NEW Micro + Opto Switch Board
Capped and Uncapped Semi and Ramping Modes
9 Debounce Modes
LCD Display- All good news, but something we’ve come to expect from Ego boards. What’s impressive is the fact that you can choose what kind of switch you want to activate your board- either a standard micro-switch or an optical switch.

NEW Duel Instrument Grade Ball-Raced Trigger
Magnetic Trigger Return - Definitely gonna be able to rip on it.

NEW Skinny-Fit Co-Moulded Rubber E-Star Grips - Look comfy, very ergonomic.

NEW T-Slot Rail Mounting System - A new, very secure ASA system.

NEW 07 Cure Bolt - Very. Very. Very. Light. Also, chops less paint!

NEW Direct-Acting Solenoid - This solenoid actually will be more consistent than a standard ‘noid, due to the way that the actuation of the system is controlled directly by the electro-magnetic coil, rather than the air pressure, which can fluctuate causing inconsistencies.

NEW Swivel In-Line Regulator - Pretty standard Reg, you’ll get Ego consistency.

NEW Lever Operated Clamping Feed - Standard.

NEW Shaft II 2-Piece 14 0.693 Barrel - Very light, dead accurate, standard - for an Ego.

NEW 07 On/Off/Purge System - Standard.

Low Profile Break-Beam Eyes - Heh, I’d like to see someone make eyes that actually increased your profile…

Overall, the Ego7 looks fantastic. Planet Eclipse certainly destroyed any bar set by the Ego6.
