Gun Preview: Proto Matrix 8
You knew it was coming. You just didn’t know that I’d only be showing you half of what you’ll end up getting.

After that titillating picture, I’ll be you want to know what the text says. Well that’s too bad…
Pfft, only joking of course. You just had to click the Read More to get the full story! (View that as a lesson.)
Here’s what it says:
“Proto Matrix Eight
Unequaled quality, meticulous engineering, and impeccable design are just a few of the reasons why Proto is the first name in paintball. We’ve advanced the new Proto Matrix 8 to the next level. It now includes our proven ergonomically designed Ultralite frame. The hourglass shape allows maximum control and comfort. The integrated heads-up display alerts you to the status of your marker. A new smaller, lighter Hyper3 In-Line Air Regulator comes standard. This new regulator provides higher flow, more consistency, better ergonomic grip, and smoother velocity adjustment. The LPR has been reduced in size and is now vertically adjustable. The bolt kit operating pressure has been reduced by more than 10%, increasing the number of shots you get per tank. Take your game to the next level with the Proto Matrix 8. Available in Clear, Black, Olive, Black/Blue Fade, and Black/Red Fade.”
So… they made it smaller. Good, I guess. Probably lighter, fine. Other than that, there is nothing different between PM7s with UL & ups and the PM8. Oh, I forgot the Hyper3, which is a more consistent Hyper2. It wasn’t like the Hyper2 was even a terrible reg, it was just barely sub-par of the best. I’m highly disconcerted by it all.
Someone please tell me I’m wrong about the PM8.
If the DM8 is anything else, besides the standard differences between DM/PM I will eat my hat. Figuratively. And I guess I’ll post a picture of me stuffing a hat. Whatever.
I’ll even settle for some sick milling.
