Dana’s Interview & Making Friends
Bloggers get ahead by making connections. I’m now to the point where I’m a connection all by myself, which I think is a fairly big accomplishment. Anyway, you might be interested in reading an interview conducted by a fellow blogger of mine over at Paintball Guns.tv. I found it pretty interesting, and I even found some stuff out about Dana that I never knew before.

I’m even referred to as the Godfather. And it wasn’t even on accident.
So anyway, besides my super duper interview, I’ve been up to a lot.
I’ve sent an email to most of the major paintball companies concerning PBNation’s latest craze of SP Smashing due to the apparent slew of patents Smart Parts is slinging. Apparently, most of these companies don’t care.
Jack Rice of AlienPB says, “My guns are made and unless they are backdating something - amending old patents - then it won’t affect me.”
Unfortunately, this appears to be what they’re doing, at least with the “Mini-esque” patent. Honestly, I’ve read through all of the patents, and I can’t make heads or tales of them. Reading a patent is like reading a foreign language. I can’t tell which parts of the patent they are patenting and which parts are just being used to describe the specific pieces of the patent.
If there is anyone out there who would like to help explain these to me, please contact me.
Another new acquaintance of mine is Mr. Raetz, a potential paintball organizer from Oregon. He’s got a new idea that you should check out, right here. It’s got some potential, but… I need your feedback.
Oh, and to wrap things up, I feel I must give a huge thumbs up to the effort Mr. Hall is putting into the latest on the blog scene, Paintball Guns.tv. It’s easily one of the best written paintball blogs on the net, which, while not saying too much, is hopefully somewhat meaningful coming from me. This field is more about being well-spoken and well-versed in paintball than it is about credentials, and these blogs are a great reflection of that.
